Get to know Robert N, one of our delivery drivers here at Azure Standard.
Robert recently began driving for Azure, having learned about the opportunity from a friend who works in our IT department. However, he’s an experienced driver, having previously worked for a couple other companies. Driving is a second career for him. “I worked as a paramedic out of high school for 14 years, and then retired. My wife and I always talked about me driving a truck, and as soon as I started doing it, I knew it was the right fit. I love being outdoors, not in a building, not at a desk.” Robert also enjoys that driving for Azure is customer oriented and that he’s a part of bringing healthy foods to people. “Greeting and interacting with our customers is a lot of fun for me, and I think Azure is a really unique company with amazing systems in place.”
Robert and his wife, Samantha, live in the suburbs surrounding Phoenix, AZ. He loves the traveling associated with his job, and also enjoys road tripping on his time off. “When we get the chance, we go! Last year we rented an RV and drove to West Virginia and then to California and then Arizona. It was a 2.5 week venture, during which we made stops in Odessa, MO and visited a Russian Orthodox monastery.” Robert has a deep commitment to spiritual growth and his faith, and volunteers with his church and a faith-based homebuilding non-profit organization in Mexico. He continues, “There’s a spiritual side and a consciousness of knowing where your food comes from, and I connect with that.”
His favorite part about working for Azure, though, is meeting our customers. “My background as a paramedic enables me to put people at ease. I really like to talk with people I meet along the way. There’s lots to laugh and rejoice about together as we navigate this life.”
Robert’s favorite Azure products are the heat-and-eat meals by Tasty Bite and Rumiano butter, which he describes as “very healthy compared to seed oils.”
