It’s hard to fathom that the words “avocado oil that offers peace of mind” would ever have to be spoken. Unfortunately, we live in a seriously scammy world where companies lie and cheat all the time to get your money. Sure, nothing new under the sun and all, I know. But, isn’t it nice when you encounter those honest-to-goodness moments where you feel good about who you gave your money to because you one hundred percent know that you got the product you were expecting? Yeah, that’s peace of mind. And that’s exactly what I got when I received my glass bottle of Azure Market organic avocado oil.
But it’s more than just money, isn’t it? It’s the health of your body. If I got scammed and paid good money for a wall clock that fell apart the day after the one-month return policy, I’d be mad, but besides the initial cortisol rush, my body would be fine. Well, that’s not the case with an avocado oil that is labeled 100% pure avocado but turns out to be adulterated with soybean oil or oxidizes before the expiration date. That is harmful to your body. Especially if you use it daily. Now I’m not just being paranoid for no reason here. There have been many reports about how several of the avocado and olive oils on the shelves, claiming to be pure, are mixed with other oils or oxidized. The famous one being the 2020 U.C. Davis study, where they tested 22 supposedly pure avocado oils from grocery stores, and only two were actually pure and non-oxidized. Unless you pay to have every bottle of oil you buy tested, you will never know what you’re putting in your body. The only thing to do is buy from someone you trust. That’s why I say…and let’s say it together now, thank God for Azure Standard! Right? You know David ain’t gonna do you that way! If Azure oil had been on the shelf at the stores, there would have been THREE in the study that passed the test.
I have been stir-frying away over here, whistling a tune as I go, without a care because I know my Azure oil is 100% pure and refined without chemicals like hexane. If I were writing about extra virgin first cold pressed olive oil, then I could begin to describe the distinct taste profile to you, but this is a refined avocado oil, and it has no strong flavor at all. Which is what I want. Especially if I’m baking. But I need it for cooking at high temps as well. I’ll use the Azure extra virgin olive oil when I want a pure oil with complex flavors for dressings, hummus, and other non-heated food concoctions. But a refined avocado oil?
