Grocery shopping habits for the vast majority of people have suddenly changed. And, as more people have discovered (or actually re-discovered) that Azure’s method of food delivery is the safest way to order food, many of our customers who hadn’t ordered in a while have come back -- in droves. Our sales are up considerably and we’re taking the challenge of filling all orders very seriously.
An effective, clean and safe warehouse is our goal.
Because this increase in orders was quite sudden (basically starting the weekend of March 14), we didn’t have time to smoothly ramp-up. But, over the last couple of weeks we’ve been working with our network of suppliers to get more product coming into our warehouse (successfully!), and getting more funds for additional inventory through our Customer Sponsored Inventory (CSI) program. (Thank you, sponsors!) These two things, together, make us confident that we will be able to have the products you need in stock. (Yes, the more we sell, the easier it is to have more purchasing power with our suppliers… which means we can have more in stock… A nice snow-ball effect makes it continually get better!)
However… our volume has increased beyond the capacity of our current staff to fill and pack the orders in a timely manner. They’re getting tired. We’d love to have some healthy & strong Azure-minded folks come join us to get the orders moving! Some fresh energy to help us ramp things up in a big way is what’s needed. (Hey, see if you can beat the all-time record for pulling the most orders in the shortest amount of time!) If you’re not fully employed and would like to have a fun (yet meaningful and worthwhile) experience during these crazy times, maybe you’d like to give it a whirl? It’s a fast-paced environment of restocking shelves and pulling orders quickly for our dear customers.

Yes, extra precautions against the coronavirus are in place at all of our facilities, so please expect strict requirements to keep our staff and customers protected and safe. This is of utmost importance to us. Would you, or someone you know, be willing to join us at either our warehouse in Moro, Oregon, or at our mill & repackaging facility in Dufur, Oregon? Remember that both Moro and Dufur are small (and very beautiful) rural communities that don’t have much available for accommodations. But, if you don’t mind being a bit innovative and having some flexibility with where to stay, there are certainly options. For example, if you have an RV, that might be the way to go.
