Kimberly Stelzer has been a great support to her husband, David Stelzer, the Founder and CEO of Azure Standard. They were married in 1986, just one year before Azure Standard officially began. In those early years, Kimberly helped with the small business as much as possible, but as the children came along, she focused on nurturing their family. As the family grew (to a total of 11 children), Kimberly sourced baby items for Azure to sell (like cloth diapers and cotton clothing) and learned about how to care for children’s owies, bumps, and bruises. She also became quite experienced at healthy cooking and food storage.
Through articles and videos Kimberly has shared a lot of her knowledge about food and caring for children’s health. Her experience successfully raising 11 healthy children on organic food, and helping them through the typical illnesses of childhood (naturally, and without going to medical doctors), is an inspiration to other moms.
In 2020, she had the opportunity to help her dad, Doc Kellogg (the warehouse manager for Azure for 15 years), with his cancer treatment. She went with him to Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he was successfully treated for Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. (You can read Doc’s Story here.) But, when he returned to his home, he abandoned his healthy eating regimen, and the cancer soon sprung up again. Kimberly wants others to understand the importance of sticking to a healthy eating plan, especially if you’re recovering from serious illness.
